Ledaig is the wild one: smoky, salty, savoury and often a little untamed in its youth. Two decades in refill wood have given it polish and depth without sanding off any of that island character. The wood stays in the background; the distillate does the talking.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThink of it as a fisherman's dram. On the nose, coal smoke, charred lemons on the barbecue, sea brine and a metallic, harbour-side edge. The palate is big and boisterous: seawater, green olives, pure lemon juice and deep bonfire smoke over a meaty core.
